Architecture, interiors and urban design for homes and residential development.
Our work is guided by craftsmanship, material integrity, and a respect for place. We design homes that are made to be lived in – spaces shaped by light, texture, and the rhythm of daily use.
Wolf en Den pays homage to our founder’s grandparents, who ran a design shop called ‘The Loft’ in Kirkby Lonsdale, Cumbria in the early 1960s. Long before Habitat brought modern design to the high street, their shop offered a carefully curated mix of Scandinavian homeware and handmade pieces from the north of England – blankets, baskets, bone and horn items objects for everyday use.
Behind The Loft was a quiet belief that good design belongs in daily life. Every piece was chosen for its material quality, usefulness, and tactile beauty – ideas that shape our approach today.
Like the ethos of the shop, our practice celebrates thoughtful simplicity. We believe design is most powerful when it feels natural, when it supports life quietly and beautifully.
Wolf en Den is both a tribute and a continuation: a reminder that the things we live with and within should be made with care, designed to last, and grounded in the honesty of their materials.

Alongside practice, Zoë is dedicated to supporting the next generation of designers.
